Issues

Robert Grinsell Travel wanted to ensure that they not only offered the best holidays but were able to offer the best facility to book them in.

Objective

The Company needed to be able to move the complete business to a new facility without interruption to service and support, and with the majority of the business transactions being carried out over the internet, this meant a seemless re-location of the internet connection and workstations.

Solution

Canda Systems were appointed to project manager the process of co-ordinating the moving of the company's communication resources. Managing each step of the relocation process to assure a smooth transition into the new facility.

Phase1

Audit existing IT equipment and specify the upgrade possibilities, specify new equipment to ensure that the new facility is in a state of the art IT environment for customers and clients to be at ease in.

Phase 2

Canda Systems linked up with the preferred telecommunication company and ISP, to provide the link to ensure that on the day of the move all the communication links were available and working. Numerous site visits by Canda engineers were carried out with the telecom team, to ensure that on the big day everything that was necessary to ensure a smooth transaction was in place.

Phase 3

The packing of the existing equipment was expertly carried out using specially designed computer crates to ensure all the parts and associated peripherals were transported safely to their new destination. They were then moved, re-located and successfully integrated with all the new equipment.

Results

This phased approach to the move ensured a seamless transition from one office location to a state of the art office environment, where clients and customers can now view luxury accommodations in the comfort of an office that boasts the latest technology.
